HOW DO SMARTRAY 3D SENSORS WORK?
The method is based on laser triangulation. With laser triangulation, a point of laser light or a laser line is projected onto the object from one direction and observed from another direction with the SmartRay 3D sensor. If you know the distance between the camera and the laser and the angle between the laser beam and the direction of observation, you can use this to determine the distance between the illuminated object point.
